LOS ANGELES—2023 AVN Best Leading Actress Maitland Ward makes her debut for Vixen Media Group banner Tushy as both a performer and director with new scene “Casting Couch,” available now.
In “Casting Couch,” which co-stars Mick Blue and Dante Colle, Ward puts a spin on the stereotypical Hollywood audition narrative, playing things by her own rules and directing what happens on the casting couch in an artfully, erotic way.
“’Casting Couch’ serves as a provocative take on the old Hollywood system and the power dynamics at play, but with a delicious twist—the actress is now in charge,” Ward explained. “I wanted to create this film, not only because it’s a take on my own journey to a seat of authority and command, but also because you rarely get to see a woman in Hollywood in such a dominant light. It was really fun being the one auditioning the guys and enticing them to give me everything I wanted. I loved being in this powerful position.”
The new scene also represents the second project Ward has written and directed for Vixen Media Group. “Both scenes for Blacked and Tushy were a nod to my Hollywood past and also a metaphor for my own journey to the top where I now call the shots,” she added. “It truly is a Christmas morning feeling writing a scene and then having the opportunity to bring it to life. The team at Vixen has been so encouraging and phenomenal to work with.”
