NEW YORK—Pornhub announced today that the recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming Fifth Annual Pornhub Awards will be AVN Hall of Fame actress, writer and director Stormy Daniels. The company said it is bestowing the honor to Daniels “for her many contributions, which have helped shape the face of the adult industry as well as American history.”
“I am extremely honored to receive this award and excited to celebrate the industry with my fellow adult performers and producers at the Pornhub Awards,” Daniels said. “I am proud of the content I’ve created in the last two decades and will continue to support and defend the adult business and sex worker rights.”
A celebration of the biggest and best in each of Pornhub’s unconventional categories, as well as the top channels and most popular networks, the Pornhub Awards have previously crowned only one performer with a Lifetime Achievement trophy: 2020 recipient Cicciolina, the legendary porn actress and Italian parliament member.
Award winners will be announced on the official awards site, pornhub.com/awards, on April 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, followed by an exclusive, in-person celebration party held for all nominated models and select guests in Los Angeles that evening. Headlining the evening will be three-time Grammy Award winning DJ and producer, as well as 2020 AVN Awards musical guest, Diplo.
“The Pornhub Awards are all about individuality, creativity and freedom—three things I think we can all agree are important to celebrate,” Diplo commented. “It’s an honor to be asked to play for what I’m sure will be one of my most fun crowds ever.”
In addition to Diplo, attendees will also be treated to DJ sets by The Ion Pack, lower-east side fixtures who run New York City’s hottest film scene podcast; 24-year old DJ Hank K, who has played along dance music greats such as Honey Dijon, Nic Fanciulli, Diplo, Chris Lake, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Damian Lazarus; and Miami-based artist and DJ TOTALFREEDOM, founding member of Los Angeles music label Fade to Mind and music director for NY fashion brands such as Telfar and Hood By Air.
To further recognize the efforts of adult industry performers, Pornhub also announced its support of social justice organization Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) Behind Bars with a donation marking the renewal of its partnership with the group.
This year’s Pornhub Awards will name winners in 50 categories—the most to date in the awards’ history—and include a number of new categories that celebrate diversity and inclusivity.
